Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Employment Type: Long-Term Contract
Compensation: $24/hour (1.5x hourly pay for overtime after 40 hours)
Schedule: Day shift starting at 6:00 AM EST, 50–55 hours per week
Job Description
We are seeking 8 experienced Electricians for a long-term contract opportunity in Sterling Heights, MI. Candidates must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate proficiency in medium-complexity electrical projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Electrical Supervisor with equipment disassembly, shipping, and installation at customer facilities
- Troubleshoot and debug hardwired circuits using electrical meters
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams and layouts
- Update E-BOM summaries weekly and submit to supervisor
- Order non-BOM materials as needed
- Follow project timelines and customer specifications
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
- Travel to customer sites for equipment installation as required
Qualifications
Required:
- Must have own toolbox and PPE
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Proficient in reading electrical diagrams and using meters
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and quality systems
- Willingness to perform all tasks from start to finish
Preferred:
- One-year certificate from a college or technical school
- 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and training
Work Environment
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical components
- Moderate noise levels
- Occasional work at heights and in confined spaces
