Job Description
MC Homes is looking for an Architectural Designer for residential and light commercial jobs to join our team. We are a design & build contractor specializing in custom luxury homes and commercial spaces in western Kentucky. Details about the duties for this position:
Design & Planning
- Create full, custom home plans tailored to each client’s vision and lifestyle.
- Develop detailed design boards and manage all interior and exterior selections.
- Produce and coordinate shop drawings (e.g., windows, cabinetry, built-ins, etc.).
- Ensure all design work aligns with client expectations and project timelines.
Client Interaction & Satisfaction
- Build rapport and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the design and building process.
- Conduct and manage homebuyer meetings, reviews, and follow-up phone calls.
- Serve as a main point of contact during the design phase and provide support through construction as needed.
Project Oversight & Coordination
- Inspect work performed by subcontractors and team members to ensure design intent and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate closely with management, construction supervisors, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide direction and support to supervisors and other team members when necessary.
Budget Management
- Understand and adhere to the client’s budget as defined by the Project Manager.
- Make selections and recommendations that align with financial guidelines while preserving design quality.
Sales & Marketing Support
- Assist with sales efforts, including working with new leads and supporting the sales team when needed.
- Contribute to achieving high client ratings and consistently delivering 5-star quality.
Social Media & Marketing Collaboration
- Manage all company social media accounts.
- Schedule and plan posts one month in advance to ensure consistent branding and engagement.
- Work in coordination with the Marketing Team to align messaging and strategy.
