Job Description

Ok, so it's actually a Toyota, not a buggy - but you will be delivering our delicious bagels, so everyone will be happy to see you! Buddy's Bagels is looking for a reliable, efficient delivery ace with at least 1 year of professional delivery experience.

Your role mainly consists of:

• Delivery prep and warehouse work
• Delivering bagels to our stores and business partners
• Delivering the occasional special or catering order (we have a BIG bagel -you gotta see it!)

Buddy's Bagels is open 7 days a week, serving breakfast and lunch from 7AM - 2PM. As a delivery driver, your shifts will typically be 5AM - 11AM, sometimes a bit longer (Sarasota traffic, right?) and sometimes a bit shorter. We have full- and part-time openings.

Delivery Drivers start at $18/hr and you will be driving a company vehicle (again, not actually a buggy).

It's not hard work and it's not rocket surgery, but you need to be a morning person, pay attention to details, follow instructions, know how to read a GPS map, and be professional and presentable when you are out and about. You are our traveling ambassador!

Requirements

If you want to be our delivery driver, you'll need to meet these requirements:

The Major Stuff first -

• 1+ year of professional delivery experience, but we are willing to trade  some  experience for talent and the right attitude.

• Age 18 or older
• Valid FL Driver's License and a clean driving record (we check).
• Current vehicle insurance.
• Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Legally authorized to work in the US. We use E-Verify for all new hires.

These matter too:

• Don't smoke in the buggy!
• Can drive without looking at your phone and texting. Safety first!
• At least High School or an equivalent degree.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to be reliably on-time - lots of people are depending on you!
• Able to sit and drive, enter and exit the vehicle easily, lift a minimum of 30lbs, load the delivery vehicle carry deliveries into stores.
• Able to speak clearly, write, and read English proficiently. Bilingual with Spanish is a plus.
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle.
• Get deliveries consistently correct.
• Provide superior customer service with a smile.
• Be a great team member and take pride in your work!
