Job Description

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst who will coordinate with Functional Leads and Senior Analysts to understand the future state vision for QTC processes and features in order to deliver progressive capabilities towards that end-state in each release. This opportunity is located in Indianapolis, IN!

Duties:

• Lead the Business Requirement gathering and documentation process by collaborating with crucial QTC subject matter experts to transform existing processes and drive the future of quoting to customers
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional meetings, document decisions, and follow up on actions
• Engage with Technical Architects and Product Managers to create innovative, holistic solutions to deliver upon Business Requirements and future state needs
• Manage project activities, including reporting escalations, tracking requirements delivery, communicating cross-functional dependencies, and creating status updates
• Act as a subject matter expert for internal QTC systems and processes
• Develop, document, and maintain a thorough repository and understanding of business rules and process flows
• Work with training and engagement specialists to create training materials and ensure successful change management results
• Conduct ad-hoc reporting and research activities as project needs dictate
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT)

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Experience with business requirements gathering, documentation, and user story development
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to articulate verbally and in writing, willingness to appropriately debate difficult issues, quick thinking, excellent listening skills, and strong organizational abilities
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, delivering accuracy while managing ambiguity and meeting deadlines where adaptability is imperative
• Capacity to identify and understand broader business and financial issues from an end-user’s perspective while considering cross-functional and downstream impacts
• Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
• Extreme attention to detail with the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
• Curiosity and analytical mindset to extract relevant information from subject matter experts
• Prior experience as a Business Analyst
