Job Description:

Are you an undergraduate (sorry graduate students) looking for an opportunity to develop and enhance your skill set and be challenged daily? Our Distribution Center services two states, shipping fireworks to over 1700 + retail and grocery chain stores, such as Walmart, Target, Publix, Sam’s Club and Costco, just to name a few. In addition, we provide our product to over 250 parking lot stands and tents in Florida and Georgia. Gain valuable experience in inventory management, production, shipping and receiving in a fast-paced environment. Be a part of a team atmosphere where each day is unique.

TNT Fireworks is looking for a highly motivated individual for a summer internship in multiple locations across the US. The summer associate will have great exposure to a broad range of logistics functions throughout the organization. S/he will assist in making strategic decisions to drive cost performance and maximize efficiency. 

Some of the primary duties include:

• Review cost effective opportunities to deliver via TNT drivers
• Learn aspects of both our chain store and parking lot tent operations to ensure timely delivery and sales for the holiday. Ensure timely deliveries of all LTL shipments, including tracking, Over / Short / Damages, and refusals
• Understand supply demand and production needs, to ensure product availability for orders
• Communicate with Marketing and Sales regarding inventory and order changes.
• Assist with driver recruitment, qualification, and training
• Manage driver electronic logging devices and toll transponders
• Help develop metrics to track performance.
• Assist in managing a remote return center for two to three days, after the holiday.

Secondary Duties:

• Learn and assist processing shipping documents.
• Help ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts
• Assist warehouse supervisors with all operations processes: receiving, shipping, production, etc.

Housing or stipend may be available for any applicant not local to the Ocala area.

• Due to the seasonality of the business, some overtime will be required.
