Cable Technician – Colorado Springs, CO
Clearance Required: Active Top Secret Security Clearance
We are seeking a Cable Technician to support a federal mission in Colorado Springs, CO. This role supports the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), helping protect North America through aerospace warning, control, and maritime defense.
This position requires flexibility to support 24x7 operations on a modified Panama schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
What You’ll Do
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot underground, buried, copper core, and fiber-optic cables supporting C4 systems.
- Plan, install, and maintain cable and communication conveyance systems.
- Maintain accurate installation records, schematics, and configuration control databases.
- Conduct system tests, troubleshoot failures, and perform fiber optic splicing/repairs.
- Process customer requests, develop technical solutions, and support project installations.
- Coordinate with multiple teams to ensure smooth operations in a high-security environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of directly related experience (4+ years overall work history).
- Hands-on experience with cable installation and communication conveyance systems.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen .
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance .
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Air/Space Force customers in a high-tempo environment.
- Familiarity with Air/Space Force project/maintenance tracking tools.
- Knowledge of EIA 568A/B cabling standards .
- Fiber optic splicing (mechanical and fusion) experience.
