Job Description
Blayze Recruitment have partnered with a leading Electrical Contractor who are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD/BIM Technician/Detailer with extensive experience in data centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed 2D/3D models for electrical systems in data center projects using CAD and BIM software.
- Prepare and update design drawings, schematics, and layouts for electrical installations.
- Work closely with engineering and project management teams to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborate in the creation of detailed models for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with all relevant standards.
- Review and validate drawings for accuracy, consistency, and completeness, addressing any discrepancies.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including contractors and clients, to resolve design issues and support the project lifecycle.
- Assist in the preparation of submittals, including documentation for permits, approvals, and certifications.
- Ensure all project deadlines are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in CAD/BIM detailing, specifically within the data center sector.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant CAD/BIM software.
- Experience with electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems in data centers.
- Solid understanding of building codes, industry standards, and best practices for data center designs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- A degree or certification in a related field is preferred but not essential.
