Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's hospital facility in Oak Bluffs, MA 02557 . This is a 13-week Contract role.

Shift Time: 08:00 am - 04:30 pm, Mon-Fri

Location: Oak Bluffs, MA 02557

Floating Requirements : NA

Pay Range (Local): $24.50/hour - $29.50/hour

*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, and education.

**Shared housing (no guest or pets) for Traveler and car required.

Duties:

• Greet and check in patients as they arrive for appointments
• Verify patient information and update medical records
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
• Collect and process patient co-pays and other payments
• Assist with insurance verification and pre-authorization processes
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area
• Coordinate communication between patients and medical staff
• Prepare and distribute necessary paperwork and forms to patients
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence
• Assist with patient check-out and follow-up appointment scheduling

Licensure, Registration, And/or Certification Required:

• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required (AHA).
• Medical Assistant License/Certificate
• Must have taken COVID and FLU vaccines.
