Qualifications
- Education: Completion of a state-approved CNA program
- Licensure/Certifications: Active CNA certification in New York and proof of Hepatitis B immunity (required)
- Experience: 1+ year of experience in long-term care
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), vital sign monitoring, and infection control
- Soft Skills: Compassion, adaptability to varying shifts, and strong teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, mobility, and feeding
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health to nursing staff
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Adhere to facility protocols and regulatory standards
