Our client is seeking a skilled Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join their dynamic team in Tampa Bay. Their firm provides comprehensive taxation, accounting, and business advisory services to a diverse clientele. The ideal candidate will possess a CPA license and significant experience in tax preparation and advisory roles, particularly within public accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review business and individual tax returns, including Corporation, S corporation, LLC, partnership, trusts, and gift taxes.
- Handle complex tax matters for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to maintain accurate financial records and facilitate client transactions.
- Offer expert advice on tax planning strategies, deductions, and credits to minimize tax liabilities for clients.
- Provide exceptional client service, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and building strong client relationships.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Active CPA license.
- 5-10 years of recent experience in tax preparation and advisory services, preferably in public accounting.
- Proficiency in preparing various tax returns, including individual federal and state filings across multiple states.
- Strong understanding of corporate taxation, pass-through entities, trusts, and gift tax laws.
- Expertise in using QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong initiative and attention to detail.
