Lead Registered Nurse – AERS Program

1st Choice is hiring a Lead RN to oversee a team of nurses supporting the Adult Evaluation and Review Services (AERS) program in Prince George’s County. This leadership role is vital to reducing the county’s assessment backlog and ensuring timely care planning for older adults and individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor a team of 5+ nurse assessors; manage daily workflows and quality control
- Conduct or review Medicaid-compliant AERS assessments and guide clinical decision-making
- Serve as liaison with PGCHD; ensure alignment with county standards and timelines
- Monitor quality, lead process improvements, and support onboarding and compliance
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland RN license; BSN required, MSN or MPH preferred
- 5+ years clinical experience, including 2+ in home health, community health, or Medicaid programs
- AERS or similar assessment experience strongly preferred
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
