Education Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling, Business, Social Sciences or related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution.

Education Preferred:

• Master's degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling, Business, Social Sciences or related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution.

Experience Required:

• One year of advising, admissions, and/or career services experience that includes helping students set academic and career goals.
• Experience working with diverse students including first generation college students, students from underrepresented populations, and students transitioning from adult high school programs.

Experience Preferred:

• Two or more years of experience in a community college academic advising department.
• Greater than three years of career advising/guidance experience including helping students set academic and career goals.
• Experience with post-secondary academic advising that includes assisting students with program selection, educational plans, course scheduling, and registration.
• Experience using retention strategies to promote the success of students and increase completion rate.
• Experience with EAB Navigate, Colleague/Datatel and other college-related technology.
