Job Title: On-Site Estimator – Commercial Roofing

Position Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Roofing

Estimator to join commercial roofing team in Louisiana. This role is

responsible for conducting site visits, analyzing project requirements, and

preparing accurate and competitive estimates. The ideal candidate will have strong

roofing knowledge, field experience, and the ability to collaborate closely with

project managers, superintendents, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct on-site evaluations and inspections to gather information for bids
Measure and quantify roof areas, penetrations, and materials
Interpret blueprints, specifications, and scope documents
Prepare detailed, accurate estimates for commercial roofing systems including TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified Bit, BUR, Metal and Wall Panels
Collaborate with PMs and field teams to understand labor, equipment, and material needs
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
Maintain an active log of bids and track success rates
Participate in pre-bid meetings and walk-throughs as needed
Identify project risks and propose value-engineered alternatives
Provide technical input during the planning and construction phases

Qualifications:

3+ years of estimating experience in commercial roofing or a closely related trade
Strong field knowledge of roofing systems and installation methods
Proficient in reading blueprints, specs, and technical documents
Comfortable using the estimating software The EDGE
Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
Ability to pass a background check
