Location: Morehead City, North Carolina (Carteret County) - Hybrid (3 days in office)

About The Role:

As a Commercial Excess & Surplus (E&S) Underwriter , you’ll manage your book of business, serve as the primary client contact, and handle complex risk assessments, quoting, and binding for new and renewal accounts. You’ll develop referral relationships with brokerage facilities, track performance metrics, implement strategies to drive results, and mentor Assistant and Associate Underwriters.

The Ideal Candidate Has:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 3 years of commercial underwriting experience in the Excess & Surplus (E&S) market – E&S experience is required
• Strong sales, marketing, and business development skills
• Insurance license required; CPCU, CIC, or comparable designations preferred
