Position Overview: The Commercial Roofing Estimator is responsible for providing accurate estimates for new roofs, reroofs, and other roofing services. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in estimation and sales, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate and bid commercial roofing projects accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work with various computer software and programs like PlanSwift, EDGE, and OST.
- Consult with clients to determine their needs and provide solutions that meet their expectations.
- Conduct research to create bids that are competitive with the current market.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure bids are accurate and complete.
- Identify potential risks and communicate solutions to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the commercial roofing industry.
- Strong knowledge of the bid and estimating process.
- Excellent customer service and sales skills.
- Proficiency in using computer software and programs such as PlanSwift, EDGE, and OST (preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
Salary: $80k-$90k + Commission
