Job Description
Position Details A Concrete Finisher will be responsible for forming, placing, finishing concrete, and following directions from supervisors and other skilled tradesmen
- Set forms; pour, smooth and finish concrete sidewalks, roads, curbs, etc. using hand/powered floats, hand/powered trowels, and other equipment
- Bolt, nail, align and block under forms
- Level earth to fine grade specifications
- Follow directions and instructions from supervisors
- Perform a variety of tasks and duties that may change often as the work conditions require
- Work within defined standards of accuracy
- Competitive wages based on experience
- 40+ hours per week during spring/summer/fall
Required Skills/Abilities - 2+ years of experience working with concrete preferred
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form
- Willingness to understand and accept safety standards
- Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions
- Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change
- Ability to work with a variety of personalities
- Willingness to work hard and be reliable
- Must maintain flexibility in the schedule during the busy season
