Are you a motivated and experienced Construction Technician/Engineer ready to take the next step in your career? I'm working with a fantastic client in the Chicago area who is seeking a full-time team member for their Construction Engineering team. This position offers exciting opportunities to work on municipal infrastructure projects with a focus on construction layout, resident engineering, and collaboration with municipal representatives and other government agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary focus on municipal infrastructure projects
- Construction layout and resident engineering
- Liaise with municipal and governmental agencies
- Opportunities for involvement in pre-project planning and preparation of construction plans/specifications
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in Municipal Civil Engineering
- High School Diploma (required); Associates Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (preferred)
- IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities Certification (preferred)
- Experience with Transportation & Infrastructure projects
- Strong communication and team-oriented mindset
- Proficient in AutoCAD & Microsoft Office
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Confidence in implementing field changes when necessary
