This is a full-time, on-site role for a Court Attorney located in Bronx, NY.
Court Attorneys research and analyze legal issues and questions and perform other related duties. They serve in a confidential capacity.
This position is assigned to Hon. Harold Bahr, Civil Court Judge located in Bronx County Criminal Court. Duties include but are not limited to:
- conferencing cases with attorneys and pro se litigants,
- assisting parties in reaching a settlement;
- conducting legal research;
- conferring with and advising the judge on legal issues;
- drafting orders and legal opinions to be reviewed by the court;
- assisting the judge during bench and jury trials;
- preparing jury charges and instructions;
- conferencing proposed jury charges with attorneys;
- drafting responses and/or responding to inquiries; and
- general clerical and office duties.
