Job Description

House of Gilles is seeking a  Couture & Bridal Pattern Maker for a part-time/freelance position in New York, NY. This role is integral to our design and production process, ensuring that each garment meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and precision. The  Pattern Maker will be responsible for:

• Creating and modifying  couture and bridal patterns based on designer specifications
• Conducting  fittings and adjusting patterns to achieve the perfect silhouette and fit
• Sewing and assembling muslins and sample garments
• Working with delicate  bridal fabrics, intricate lacework, and hand-finishing techniques
• Collaborating with the design and atelier team to maintain the integrity of each garment
  

Qualifications:

• Expertise in  Pattern Design and Pattern Making for  both couture and bridal gowns
• Strong Fitting and Sewing skills, with an eye for precision and detail
• Experience working with  luxury fabrics , including silk, lace, tulle, and organza
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Prior experience in a similar  couture or high-end bridal fashion role is required
