Insight Executive Solutions has been exclusively retained by a global facilities management provider to appoint a Culinary Director/ Executive Chef for a modern community hospital in the greater Cleveland area.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a culinary professional with strong operational oversight and a passion for excellence in healthcare food service. You’ll be managing a large chef team and setting the standard for quality, efficiency, and innovation.

About the Hospital

This full-service medical facility offers advanced care across surgery, emergency services, and inpatient specialties. As Culinary Director, you’ll be at the centre of a patient-first environment, supporting recovery, comfort, and clinical standards through thoughtful, well-executed food service.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Leading day-to-day culinary operations, including menu development, compliance, and food safety
• Overseeing a team of chefs and kitchen staff to deliver consistent, high-quality service
• Managing performance against KPIs including budget, food cost, and satisfaction scores
• Partnering with healthcare and FM teams to meet the diverse needs of patients, staff, and visitors
• Navigating unionised environments and promoting a positive team culture
• Innovating service delivery while aligning with the hospital’s clinical mission

What You’ll Need:

• Significant experience in a senior culinary leadership role, ideally in healthcare
• Strong background in food operations, staff management, and regulatory compliance
• Ability to lead within unionised teams and navigate complexity with professionalism
• A results-driven approach to service quality, efficiency, and team performance
• A collaborative mindset and confidence in managing client relationships
