We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer to join our team. In this key role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient clearance of goods by accurately processing customs entries and providing exceptional customer service.
What you'll be doing:
Process Customs Entries: Prepare and submit customs entries for air, ocean, road, and rail shipments, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Classify Goods: Accurately classify goods and determine applicable duties and taxes.
Manage Documentation: Assemble and maintain accurate and complete customs documentation.
Provide Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide guidance on customs clearance procedures.
Stay Updated: Stay informed about changes in customs regulations and industry best practices.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
What you'll bring to the table:
At least 2 years of experience in customs brokerage operations (preferred).
Experience with customs entry software (CargoWise experience is a plus).
Strong understanding of customs regulations and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
