Data Engineer

Location: Greensboro, NC (Onsite, flexible 40 hours/week)

Compensation: $90,000-100,000

A growing CRG client in the Triad area has an opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer/Developer to join the Data team. This primarily data-focused role centers on moving data across platforms via ETL using Azure Data Factory and APIs. Some front-end/application development is required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Development of custom data solutions such as:
• ETL in Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric
• Data processing and Alerting
• Corporate data automation (Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, custom scripting)
• Front end development on custom solutions such as:
• Changes to the current custom applications
• Ability to create basic CRUD front ends for end users to interact with data
• Perform analysis such as:
• Track down data issues and questions from analytics dashboards (Power BI, etc.)
• Data pulls for executives

Current Toolset Utilized:

• Azure (Batch, Synapse, Data Lake Storage, Functions, Logic Apps, Container Apps,)
• Power BI / Fabric / Power Platform
• SQL (Stored Procedures, Views)
• Python (Pycharm, VS Code)
• Docker
• Entra
• Postman
• Office 365 (Excel)

Technical Skill Set Required:

• SQL Server Development
• One Non-SQL Object Oriented Programming Language
• Web APIs (REST)
• Azure

Preferred

• Azure Data Factory
• Python
• Microsoft Fabric
• C# / Entity Framework

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field (Preferred)
• Ability to implement solutions to issues with complex requirements
• Ability to expand skills and knowledge beyond current levels
• Ability to organize and execute a daily work plan
