Our large financial/banking client is currently seeking a Datacenter Technician

This is a contract to hire role that must be done onsite on in the southwest Racine area

W2 only, no C2C or third parties.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

Coordinate with Data Center and Field Site teams, Facilities, and contractors to successfully execute structured cabling builds
Work with design team to develop timely project specific specification and scope documentation, including floor plans, pathway and rack layouts, rack elevations, cable schedules, and bill of materials for all ISP and OSP cabling
Coordinate infrastructure technologies (AV, Network, Voice, IP security systems) for Enterprise Facilities driven projects
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver designs, meeting capacity and network requirements and go-live timelines

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience designing, deploying and maintaining complex data center environments (new facility, major facility renovations/expansions)
Understanding of indoor/outdoor cable plants, including copper cabling, long range/short range fiber optic cabling
Knowledge of information technology infrastructure components (LAN/WAN/SAN, firewalls, Wintel/Lintel/UNIX servers, storage, roll-on equipment, wireless, DAS)
Data center and/or networking industry certifications preferred
