Distribution Designer

Allied Resources is seeking a Distribution Designer who will design and manage residential electric distribution projects from field surveys to construction prints using CAD tools, while ensuring compliance with utility standards. A day in the life:

• Conduct field/site surveys using instruments to gather data for electric distribution designs.
• Communicate with property owners on-site to explain the scope of work and gather access permissions or site concerns.
• Participate in a virtual design review meeting with the utility company and internal team members.
• Mentor a junior designer, providing feedback on their framing layout and CAD accuracy.

The wish list:

• 3+ years of electric, gas, or civil design experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software (Bentley MicroStation and/or AutoCAD).
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in the field and with clients.
