We are seeking an experienced Director of Land Surveying to lead and manage our land surveying operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all land surveying projects, including boundary and topographic surveys, construction stakeouts, as-built surveys, and digital surface modeling.
Supervise field crews, assign tasks, and ensure efficient workflow.
Conduct boundary computations and land record research.
Import and process field data and create topographic maps using TIN surfaces.
Maintain compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and local surveying laws.
Provide training and mentorship to department staff, ensuring high-quality performance and accuracy.
Collaborate with clients, engineers, and project managers to deliver successful projects.
Occasionally serve as a crew chief as needed, working in various field conditions.

Required Qualifications:

Licensed Land Surveyor (L.S.) in Connecticut, Massachusetts, or Rhode Island (preferred).
Associate’s degree in Land Surveying or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Minimum of five years in a supervisory role within land surveying.
Proficiency in Civil 3D software with at least four years of hands-on experience.
Strong understanding of field survey methods, procedures, and industry best practices.
Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to work in various weather conditions and terrains when necessary.
