Key Responsibilities:
- Departmental Leadership: Develop and implement goals, plans, and standards that align with the organization’s clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical objectives.
- Operations Management: Direct and evaluate departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service levels, and complaint management to meet performance and quality objectives.
- Staff Management: Plan and oversee staffing activities, including hiring, orientation, evaluation, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Budget Management: Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with allocated funding and coordinating internal and external audits.
- Professional Development: Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth and development among team members.
- Clinical Protocols: Integrate evidence-based practices into departmental operations and clinical protocols.
- Regulatory Compliance: Upon obtaining NV licensure, act as the "Managing Pharmacist," ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations related to pharmacy operations and practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy required.
- Doctorate in Pharmacy preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of three years of pharmacy leadership experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Current Nevada Pharmacist License within three months of hire.
- Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) with the State of NV within three months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association within six months of hire.
- Certificates of Completion for FEMA IS-100.C and FEMA IS-200.C within three months of hire (effective 7.1.2023) and every three years thereafter.
- Certificate of completion for Handle with Care training within 30 days of hire.
- Physical Demands:
- Occasional prolonged standing/walking.
- Occasional heavy lifting of supplies/equipment (20-30 pounds).
- Skills:
- Critical thinking and decisive judgment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
