Job Description
Our client is seeking an I&E Technician to work within their facilities located in Creola, Alabama on a long-term assignment (initially 12 months with possibility of extension / becoming permanent).
Role Overview
- Provide electrical, electronics, communications, and instrumentation support to maintain equipment in a pipe vessel safely and efficiently.
- Maintain and optimize SCADA communications systems and Allen Bradley programmable logic controllers (including RS Ladder Logic).
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical, pneumatic, process controls, and new equipment as projects dictate.
- Maintain high safety standards during construction and participate in the PSSR walkdown at the completion of the project.
- Provide more technical/functional support than administrative support.
- Demonstrate thorough working knowledge of technology, applications, terminology, and procedures required for job function.
- Perform varied and more complex tasks and make decisions within broad parameters.
Skills & Qualifications
- SCADA: Proficient in maintaining and optimizing SCADA communications systems.
- PLC: Strong experience with Allen Bradley’s suite of products.
- Electrical Equipment: Skilled in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical equipment.
- Pneumatic Equipment: Experience with pneumatic systems and their maintenance.
- RS Ladder Logic: Knowledgeable in RS Ladder Logic programming.
- Instrumentation: Familiarity with instrumentation support and maintenance.
Education & Experience
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience with PLC and Allen Bradley’s suite of products.
- Strong instrumentation and electrical background.
