Electronic Assembly Technician

LOCATION: Greater Portland Area
SALARY: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
SCHEDULE: Full-Time, Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, occasional overtime as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform first article and final inspections on assembled products
• Hand solder SMT and through-hole components to IPC Class 3 standards
• Conduct rework and repairs using a microscope
• Assemble wire harnesses and perform detailed hand cleaning
• Operate an X-ray machine for internal inspections
• Track and record quality metrics and help improve processes
• Maintain strict adherence to quality standards and procedures
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in electronics preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electronic assembly and inspection
• Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards
• Ability to identify electronic components and read English-language documentation
• IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications highly preferred
• Excellent manual dexterity and ability to work under a microscope
• Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset
• Must pass a criminal background check
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This role is performed in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to sit for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks using small tools and microscopes, and lift up to 20 pounds regularly.
