About the Role: Teacher in Residence (TIR)
The Teacher in Residence (TIR) role offers a unique opportunity for educators who are passionate about teaching and want to grow within a supportive school community. This proactive hiring approach allows our client to build a pipeline of talented teachers ahead of final classroom assignments.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with school leaders and grade-level teachers to prepare for the school year
- Step into a full-time classroom teacher role when a vacancy arises
- Create a dynamic, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Implement proven curriculum resources tailored to student needs
- Use student data to inform instructional practices
- Engage professionally with colleagues to meet the academic and developmental goals of each student
Qualifications & Licensure Requirements
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- Hold a valid Wisconsin teaching license or meet alternative pathway requirements (our client will support alternative certification)
- Acceptable license types include:
- Elementary Education (Grades 1–6)
- Early Childhood to Middle Childhood (e.g., PK-3, K-6, PK-8, K-8)
- Middle Childhood to Early Adolescence
- DPI License Codes: 116, 118 and other valid combinations
