Job Description

Myron B. Thompson Academy is seeking ELL certified applicants for SY 2025-2026.

DUTIES:

• Design and implement language instruction;
• · Provide support and guidance to ELL students; and
• · Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.
• · Must be knowledgeable in language acquisition and demonstrate excellent communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum: Hawaii Teachers Standards Board certification and license in the discipline with demonstrated excellence in area(s) of specialization.

Desirable : Advanced degree; strong record of scholarship and/or professional practice; online teaching; professional licensure; willing to serve as an advisor in co-curricular activities.

SALARY: Commensurate with HDOE personnel salary schedule.
