We are hiring an "Enterprise Architect" for one of our premium clients, who is the largest furniture manufacturer in the United States and one of the largest in the world.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Architect / Principal Engineer / Technology Strategist to lead the strategic design and hands-on implementation of our technology architecture. This role demands a unique blend of architecture planning and active technical execution across cloud infrastructure, security, networking, and application development domains.
You will work closely with the CTO and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure, and future-ready technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Strategy
- Design and implement scalable and secure architecture across cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and network environments
- Develop and execute security architectures and implement modern security practices within development and application ecosystems
- Define and execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies across platforms
- Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code and DevOps best practices (Terraform, CI/CD, observability)
Hands-On Execution & Leadership
- Actively implement infrastructure, automation, and integration solutions across systems and platforms
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps engineers
- Participate in code reviews and development activities with engineering teams
- Configure and optimize networking, database, and security protocols
- Lead evaluations of emerging technologies and pilot innovative solutions
Collaboration & Oversight
- Partner with development teams to align architectural direction with ongoing projects and business needs
- Mentor technical teams across disciplines, providing hands-on guidance and support
- Produce and maintain comprehensive architecture documentation
- Present technical solutions and roadmaps to senior leadership
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in software development, infrastructure engineering, and technology leadership
- Proven experience designing and implementing cloud-native solutions (Azure, GCP, Kubernetes)
- Strong coding background in multiple languages (e.g., Python, Java, .NET)
- Deep expertise in containerization, orchestration, and microservices architecture (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, compliance standards, and enterprise networking
- Practical database architecture and administration skills
- Background in enterprise integration patterns and solutions
