Field Technician
We are seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined Field Service Technician. This hands-on role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing specialized laboratory and medical devices at customer locations nationwide. Industry-specific equipment training is provided — if you have strong mechanical/electrical repair skills and enjoy solving problems, working independently, and traveling, this is an exceptional long-term career opportunity with rapid growth potential.
What You’ll Do
- Travel to customer sites to install, service, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on laboratory/medical equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Clean, refurbish, and paint equipment as needed
- Train end-users on equipment operation and maintenance procedures
- Complete detailed service reports and documentation via ERP system
- Provide high-level customer service and communication at all times
- Support warehouse and company operations when not traveling
- Participate in paid 3-month training program to master specialized equipment
- Occasionally respond to after-hours or emergency service needs
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in a technical, repair, or field service role
- Ideal backgrounds: HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, automotive, mechanical repair, biomedical tech, instrumentation
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
- Ability to read and interpret electrical & mechanical schematics
- Excellent communication, patience, and customer-facing professionalism
- Strong organization and documentation skills
- Comfortable with computer systems (ERP experience a plus)
- Ability to travel 3–5 days per week (overnight) — paid travel time
- Enjoys problem-solving, continuous learning, and working independently
- Self-motivated — uses travel time productively (documentation/training)
- No degree required — hands-on technical experience is valued most.
Training & Industry
- Comprehensive 3+ month paid training program
- Work with highly specialized anatomical pathology and cryostat equipment

- Experience with histology equipment is helpful, but not required
Compensation & Growth
- Starting: Low-to-mid $60K annually
- With experience: Up to $80K
- After proven performance (2–3 years): Up to $90K–$100K+ potential
- Paid travel time + overtime eligible
