Overview: Responsible for supervising and directing Quality Assurance (QA) Technicians to enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality-related policies to meet product quality standards and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Audits and Control:
- Conduct audits of raw materials, packaging components, labels, and finished products to ensure compliance with established specifications and quality standards.
- Testing Coordination:
- Assist in coordinating testing results for finished products, raw materials, and packaging components, and manage appropriate release programs for these materials.
- Product Hold Program Management:
- Oversee the 'On Hold' product program, including monitoring status, managing releases, and coordinating the destruction of RMAs as required.
- Quality Issue Resolution:
- Collaborate with other departments to investigate and resolve quality-related issues, including customer complaints and non-conformities.
- New Product Development Support:
- Assist in the development and testing of new products, including conducting reports and analyses to ensure quality alignment.
- FSQA Policy Implementation:
- Support the development, implementation, and review of Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Training and Compliance:
- Supervise and manage FSQA training programs, ensuring all personnel are adequately trained and training records are accurately maintained.
- Quality Review and Supervision:
- Conduct quality reviews in conjunction with QA technicians, including collaboration with the QA team in Duluth for synchronized quality efforts.
- Regulatory Audits and Inspections:
- Perform internal and external regulatory audits or inspections as required, ensuring compliance with industry standards and government regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual is a Plus (Fluent in English and basic Spanish)
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, FSQA policies, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple projects effectively.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports directly to the Quality & Compliance Manager.
- Supervises QA Technicians and coordinates with cross-functional teams.
Work Environment:
- On-site, manufacturing environment with regular audits and inspections.
- Occasional travel may be required for training or multi-site coordination.
