Job Summary:
Seeking a GIS Specialist to support field data collection for Joint Use/Fiber Make Ready projects. This is a field-intensive role (90% in-field) ideal for candidates who enjoy outdoor work and have strong GIS and general computer skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect GIS data and make in-field design recommendations
Measure utility attachments using a hasting stick
Travel frequently within Virginia and North Carolina (overnight stays Mon–Thurs may be required)
Maintain rental car and carry equipment (40+ lbs)
Must-Haves:
Love for the outdoors (shown on resume)
Experience with GIS (Esri ArcGIS or similar)
Valid driver’s license
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Physical ability to work in varying field conditions
Ability to stay in hotels during travel
Nice-to-Haves:
Excel & work management software experience
Qualifications:
BS in GIS, Engineering Technology, or related field
