Position Summary : Salpointe Catholic High School is looking for an experienced High School Biology Teacher. The best applicant for this position will be a person who enjoys working with High School students and has a strong desire to work in a collaborative, supportive and diverse community.

Duties include:

• Plan academic lessons
• Promote learning and ensure safety
• Work closely with students, families, staff, teachers, and administration to support the mission of the school and ensure student success
• Desire to participate in a Professional Learning Community
• Attend faculty and department meetings as well as professional development sessions

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Willingness to participate in programs that support and encourage the mission of the Catholic Church and the faith and spiritual growth of the students and oneself.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Biology required

Experience teaching at the High School level

Solid employment history with verifiable references

AZ State Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one
