Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Home Health Administrator to oversee our Connecticut operations. In this leadership position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring agency compliance with state and federal regulations, guiding day-to-day operations, and nurturing a culture of professional growth and clinical excellence. You will be responsible for mentoring nursing staff, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and developing innovative strategies to enhance patient outcomes. Plan, budget, manage, and assess agency programs to meet performance goals and industry standards
Teach, coach, and mentor nursing staff, providing supportive leadership and clinical oversight; assist with in-home care if necessary (e.g., covering call-outs)
Recruit and retain qualified personnel, evaluate staff performance, and implement orientation and in-service education programs
Develop and maintain record-keeping and statistical reporting systems for effective program documentation and evaluation
Ensure ongoing compliance with licensure regulations, as well as state and federal guidelines, to guarantee the highest standard of care
Delegate administrative responsibilities in your absence to maintain seamless agency operations
Qualifications
Must meet the Connecticut Department of Public Health requirements for Home Health Administrators
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
Minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity within home health or healthcare
In-depth knowledge of state and federal home health regulations and compliance standards
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team
Demonstrated ability to promote a collaborative, patient-focused environment that champions quality and compassion
