- Customer Service: The primary responsibility of a Foreign Service Agent is to provide excellent customer service. This includes greeting guests, providing room service, resolving customer needs and problems, and ensuring that customers have a pleasant experience during their stay at the hotel.
- Communication and Interaction: Since Expatriate Attendants are often required to interact with guests from different countries and cultures, they need to have good language skills and cross-cultural communication skills. They need to be able to communicate clearly and politely with guests and resolve related issues that may arise.
- Assisting: Foreign waiters may be required to assist other colleagues with tasks such as answering the telephone, booking restaurant seating or arranging transportation. They may also need to assist guests with some additional needs, such as laundry services, purchasing of items, etc.
- Maintaining Hotel Facilities: Expatriate Attendants are responsible for keeping the areas they are responsible for tidy and organized. This includes keeping guest rooms tidy, updating supplies, ensuring facilities are in proper working order, and reporting any maintenance issues in a timely manner.
- Follow hotel policies and procedures: Expatriate attendants need to be familiar with and adhere to the hotel's work processes, policies, safety regulations and hygiene standards. They also need to be aware of the hotel's products and services so that they can better present and market them to customers.
