Job Description
We're seeking an experienced HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to maintain and repair critical systems at our food manufacturing facility. This role offers stable hours with a well-established Long Island company, competitive pay, and excellent benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, refrigeration units, cooling tunnels, and boilers
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment operation
- Install and test new equipment following blueprint specifications
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize effectively
- Document work performed and establish SOPs for recurring maintenance
Requirements
- EPA 608 Universal certification required
- 5+ years of commercial maintenance experience (10+ preferred)
- Experience with desiccant dehumidifiers and CMMS systems
- Strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Food industry experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work overtime as needed
