Job Description Summary:
Guilford Technical Community College ( GTCC ) is currently the fourth largest of N.C. Community College System's 58 institutions. On our six campuses and through our online offerings, we annually serve approximately 27,500 students, 60% of whom are students of color. Teaching faculty at Guilford Technical Community College are responsible for supporting student success by creating an optimum learning environment, responding to student needs, managing effective instructional activities, modeling employability skills, demonstrating professionalism, developing cooperative work relationships with other faculty and staff, supporting college administrative requirements, and maintaining competency in their instructional field. He/she will be responsible for quality instruction and for effective participation and interest in the total affairs of the college. Under general supervision, this individual will prepare and teach French language courses aligned with the North Carolina Articulation Agreement, designed for degree seeking and transfer programs. The faculty member must be able to instruct a wide variety of topics within the classroom, via Canvas, and manage concepts/resources in an online learning laboratory environment. Candidates may be required to teach day, evening and/or weekend hours.Duties/Functions:

Education Required:
Master's degree in French or a related field from a regionally accredited university with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hour credits in French.
Education Preferred:
Doctoral degree in French from a regionally accredited university
