The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care and play a key role in diagnosing, treating, and preventing a wide range of medical conditions.
This role involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients of all ages.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
- Perform routine physical exams, screenings, and preventive care.
- Educate patients on wellness, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Prescribe and administer medications as appropriate.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare providers as needed.
- Stay current with medical advancements, treatment protocols, and best practices.
- Comply with all healthcare regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in Louisiana.
- DEA certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
