Position Overview:
The firm is looking for an experienced and driven Invesment Analyst to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for shorting stocks as well as a passion for fundamental research. This position will play a critical role in contributing to the firm's continued growth and success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct deep fundamental research on individual companies across various sectors, including financial modeling, earnings analysis, and valuation.
- Identify long and short investment opportunities based on thorough quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Assist portfolio managers in idea generation, stock selection, and trade execution.
Help monitor and analyze portfolio performance, contributing to portfolio construction and risk management - Collaborate with other team members in research, trading, and risk management to share insights and develop cohesive strategies.
- Communicate investment theses clearly, both in written reports and verbal discussions with the investment team.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, or hedge fund research.
Experience in long/short equity strategies or familiarity with hedge fund investment processes is highly preferred - Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically under pressure.
Strong understanding of financial statements, corporate governance, and market dynamics. - Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
