Title: Laboratory Assistant (Central Processing)

Duration: 6 month contract-to-hire (Permanent offer will be made after 6-months)

Location: Lafayette, IN 47905

Shift:

• M-F 3pm-1130pm
• Every 3rd weekend 1-930pm
• Rotating holidays
• Interview: One and done onsite!

Rate: $16-$18

Must Haves:

• HS or GED equivalent
• Strong data entry and documentation
• Working knowledge of computers
• Telephone skills
• Ability to perform tasks for a prolonged period of time
• Attention to detail
• Professionalism

Plusses:

• Phlebotomy experience
• Experience in waived or moderate complexity
• Specimen processing

Day to Day:

Provides general laboratory services including specimen receipt, order entry, blood component preparation, waived testing, pre-analytic processing of specimens as well as related clerical tasks such as entering orders into the system, confirming validity of each specimen, answering phone calls, and managing faxes. The ideal incumbent focuses on attention to detail, has strong organizational skills, and has basic computer skills.
