Summary
The Lead for Medical Assistants assists the Director of Nursing with carrying out the tasks within the scope of a Licensed
Practical Nurse, which includes both the Medical Assistant tasks and logistical tasks as assigned. The Lead for Medical
Assistants assists with and performs all aspects of Medical Assistant duties and responsibilities, which includes medical and
office support to Providers, Nurses and direct service personnel within the CODAC clinical setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities under the supervision and/or direction of Supervisor and/or CPHO:
1. This role involves both assisting and training all team members and personally performing tasks to ensure the delivery of
integrated care services to members, including but not limited to:
a. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing implements consistent and streamlined member care processes
and reduces wait times.
b. Assist with the training of new and existing employees.
c. Provide back up support to the medical assistant team, which includes all functions of a medical assistant.
d. Perform other administrative tasks and clinical care as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
