A medical services company in New York City is looking to add a new Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to their team in the Bronx.
About the Opportunity: - Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire possibility)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (alternating weekends)
- Hours: 7am to 3pm (1-hr unpaid lunches)
Responsibilities:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will be responsible for assisting with providing and implementing medical care and services for women with a history of chemical dependence, including:
- Collecting health history
- Making health assessment
- Performing annual physicals
- Assisting with minor office procedures
- Coordinating medical intake process
- Executing medical regimens prescribed by licensed healthcare providers, treatment, referral, health counseling and follow up care and services
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing program
- NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in New York State
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NYS-approved Infection Control certification
- Knowledge of Substance / Alcohol Dependence/ Abuse population
- Experience in one of the following specialty areas, including Family Health, Women's Health, Holistic Care, etc.
- Training in Chemical Use, Abuse, and Dependence specific to the services provided
