**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** **include the following, other duties may be assigned** * Understand work instructions (bills of material, visual work instructions, proper documentation and labeling) and be able to perform the picking, packing and assembly to meet the order and schedule deadlines
* Pick orders by foot or by Wave/Little Joey or equivalent narrow isle picking equipment
* Sort orders for customer and date of delivery
* Learn the computer system to be able to look up parts and location.
* Maintain high productivity, quality and accuracy
* Be able to understand manual system and eventually move to automated scanning
* Maintain cleanliness of workstation, work area, aisles, bins, packing stations and other assigned areas in the facility
* Observing all Safety and Weber regulations, understanding of proper manual lifting techniques
* Must be able to rotate to Assembly or Export/LTL packing areas as business needs dictate.
* Meet the assigned rate of the job which will be established for each individual order or schedule
* Check labels to determine all Carriers package by visually noticing the label. Separate all Carriers packages and stack on separate skids, shrink wrap, and load on truck.
* Understand proper packaging materials and procedures, including weights, temperature requirements, corrugated boxes, labels, and proper routing.
* For export orders pack to Country of Origin and Green Dot requirements among other requirements.
* Sort orders by Country and Date of delivery
* Data Entry - use computer for part and location inquiries & inventory
* Pack orders in assigned cartons by making boxes and using bubble pack for parts protection
* Check part numbers with description when packing orders
* Place completed orders on proper skids to be ship to warehouse
* Verify labels to determine which country to be ship to and that orders are on the correct skid.
* Pick/Pack by deadline
* Packing by country of origin consolidating smaller boxes into bigger boxes if need be
* Create necessary paperwork for shipping
* Create labels for boxes (Country and PO info)
* Measure boxes and skids
**Competencies** To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: * Must have parts and procedure knowledge
* Ability to work as a team with other members of the cell
* Maintain proper housekeeping
* Adherence to safety requirements
* Ability to drive a light duty picking machine (Wave, JLG or equiv) or climb a 16 ladder
