Job Description
The Plating Operator will operate and maintain the electroplating equipment to produce nickel stampers for vinyl record manufacturing. This position is M-Th 10 hour shifts.
Essential Job Duties:
Nickel Component Creation
- Clean, prepare, and passivate components for electroplating
- Learn and understand operation of electroplating programs
- Handle metal and chemical components with care
- Inspect and monitor nickel components for quality standards
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform routine checks to ensure proper tank chemistry
- Make chemical adjustments to plating tanks as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Team Communication
- Work with team lead to maximize efficiency and adapt to the needs of the production floor
- Proactively inform supervisor or lead of any department needs or problems
- Maintain accurate information logs for parts produced
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
