Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing structural, mechanical, and operational systems throughout the facility. This includes work on plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, carpentry, and various equipment. The role requires a high level of independence, initiative, and technical expertise. Assignments often involve considerable judgment and may include providing guidance to junior technicians.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain, repair, and install a wide range of facility systems and equipment, including:
Electrical systems – lighting, circuits, and machinery.
Plumbing systems – water supply, drainage, pipes, and appliances.
HVAC and pneumatic systems, including air compressors and gas lines.
Structural components – walls, partitions, flooring, ceilings, and fixtures.
Facilities equipment – balers, trash compactors, and related machinery.
Material handling equipment – lift trucks, conveyors, and racking systems.
Office infrastructure – furniture assembly and office partition systems.
Perform skilled trades work such as carpentry and painting to maintain and enhance facility appearance and functionality.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using blueprints and technical diagrams.
Assist in the installation and relocation of new plant equipment, including electrical and mechanical setup.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and facility procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Manager.
Required Qualifications
Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years in HVAC system maintenance and general facility maintenance.
