Job Description
Supports activities to develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods, preparing analyses reports, presenting information and making recommendations to solve problems and/or improve processes.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- · Identifies root causes of production inefficiencies.
- · Identifies non-conformances of product or process standard and offers recommendations for resolving deviations.
- · Develops, maintains, or reviews compliance documentation including schematics, protocols, and engineering change notes.
- · Modifies testing methods or revisits test objectives and standards to resolve testing issues.
- Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
- Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
- Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
- Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
- Coordinates interdepartmentally on projects to ensure alignment and consistency on project management across both sites while adhering to Quality, Compliance, Safety, and Production Standards.
- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree in related field required.
- 3 Years’ experience as a manufacturing and/or validation engineer
- BASIC SKILLS & CAPABILITIES
- · Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- · Excellent interpersonal skills.
- · Thorough understanding of industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
- · Thorough understanding of applicable mathematics and science practices.
- · Thorough understanding of related equipment and the ability to perform equipment modifications.
- · Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
