We are hiring a Mechanical Engineer for an exciting opportunity with an Automotive Machining Manufacturing company located in the Boca Raton area. This position is On-site and its a direct hire role.
$75,000-$80,000 a year salary
Monday- Friday
9:00AM- 6:00PM
Boca Raton- Onsite
Job Title: Buyer ( The hiring company will provide Training for this role) The ideal candidate is someone with a Mechanical Engineering background
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Buyer will be responsible for the procurement/sourcing of parts in order to fulfill incoming customer orders per specifications and drawings provided.
- The Buyer analyzes the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and the date the commodity is needed.
- The Buyer will research products, source vendors, and negotiate price, terms, and delivery of a wide variety of technical products including hardware, components, and systems for all types of army and ground forces equipment, including tanks, fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, artillery (self-propelled and towed), trucks, utility vehicles, engineering equipment, countermine equipment, bridging equipment, missile launchers, armaments, radars, electronics, and communications equipment.
- The Buyer will review drawings and ensure materials are purchased from drawing or customer-approved sources.
Required/Preferred Education/Training Machining Background Ability to read and understand blueprint drawings
Required/Preferred Experience
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Ability to handle multiple categories and systems (multi-task)
- Ability to work with others in a teaming environment
- Organized and maintain a system for keeping track of tasks and priorities
- Ability to build relationships and work effectively with other departments in the organization and external resources.
