Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s Rockville , New York medical facility . This contract-to-hire opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients, escort them to exam rooms, perform hand washing, weigh patients, take vital signs, record history, and document chief complaints.
• Administer limited injections under supervision and after completing an injection class.
• Respond to patient calls, relay information to physicians, and communicate lab results, physician orders, and medication instructions to patients.
• Provide front desk assistance: register, schedule, verify insurance, and check in patients. Update patient demographics and ensure referrals and authorizations.
• Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and manage medical inventory. Clean equipment.
• Schedule follow-up, x-rays, and referral appointments, and manage no-shows and waitlists.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Experience in Phlebotomy is preferred

Additional Information:

• Location: Rockville, New York
• Job Type: contract to hire.
• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 09:00 am to 06:00 pm. Saturday 09:00 am to 01:00 pm
• Pay Range: $ 19.00 to 27.00/hour.

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
